Easy Smoothie Recipes

The smoothie drink was a mystery way back in the 1930s when it first came out in the US. The fruity flavor and milkshake-like consistency was nothing new, though the drink only contained milk and no ice cream. So it was a health drink, after all.

What was this thing called a smoothie?

Today, thanks to easy smoothie recipes, you only need fruits and a blender and a couple of minutes to enjoy a cold glass of fresh smoothies in your own home. Back then, people should have figured out that a smoothie only needed these ingredients to fill a tall glass before the first recipes – a recipe for a banana and a pineapple smoothie – came out a decade later.

Some examples of new smoothie recipes that are easy to prepare include Wake-Up Smoothie, Papaya Smoothie, Strawberry-Almond Smoothie, Mango Passion Smoothie, Banana-Berry Smoothie, Apricot Smoothie and Batido Smoothie. The last one is particularly healthy for kids.

Other samples of easy smoothie recipes are all over the Internet and sometimes published in dessert cookbooks.

For simple smoothie recipes, start with a single fruit and some milk and ice. Once you got the hang of making smoothies with just the right blend, proceed by mixing two or three fruits in a single serving. That shouldn’t be too hard, is it?
